Seabacs 2024 Schedule
Feb. 7: Seabacs Meeting. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at the Des Moines Yacht Club, 22737 Marine View Dr. S, Des Moines, WA 98198. Plenty of free parking. Enter upstairs on the waterside of the clubhouse.
February 24: Totem Yacht Club Commodore's Ball. Members are eligible for reimbursement of half the registration fee to attend regional yacht club Commodore Balls, including this event. There will not be a Seabacs-hosted table, but all members are welcome to attend the event. The event starts at 6 p.m., officers in dress whites, guests in semi-formal attire. BYOB. Bring cash for raffle prizes. Early bird cost $60pp by Feb. 13; $70pp after that date. RSVP to totemyachtclub@gmail.com or text Debbie at 434.944.0348 for more information.
March 2: Des Moines Yacht Club Commodore's Ball. We have a table reserved to attend this dinner/dance. Members are eligible for reimbursement of half the registration fee to attend this event. March 26: Seabacs Meeting. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at the Des Moines Yacht Club, 22737 Marine View Dr. S, Des Moines, WA 98198. Plenty of free parking. Enter upstairs on the waterside of the clubhouse.
April 13: Tacoma Yacht Club Daffodil Festival. We will compete in the yacht club's Trivia Contest, as well as weekend festivities. To join the fun, come to the Tacoma Yacht Club at 10 a.m. to decorate Opus, our parade officer boat, which will be docked. Stay to watch/participate in the Trivia Contest at 1 p.m. TYC also hosts a dinner/dance that evening. Tickets available through TYC.
April 14: Tacoma Yacht Club Daffodil Festival. We will participate in the boat parade. The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. Officers will be in uniform to salute TYC bridge officers as we boat pass them. The boat parade follows the shoreline.
May 10: South Sound Opening Day at Des Moines Yacht Club weekend celebration begins.
May 11: South Sound Opening Day at Des Moines Yacht Club weekend continues and traditionally includes an Official Flag Ceremony, followed by happy hour and a dinner/dance. Details to come.
May 31 - June 2 Cruise/Rendezvous at Kingston Marina: Prime spots are secured on the dock for the weekend. This is a boat-in / drive-in / ferry-in friendly location. For more information, contact Rick Petterson.
July 3 - 5 Cruise / Anchor Out: Meet in Lake Washington or at any point along the way. July 3: Cruise Lake Washington, through the locks, to anchor-out in Poulsbo's Liberty Bay. On July 4, cruise to Seattle's Lake Union to anchor-out and watch the Seattle fireworks show. July 5 cruise back to Lake Washington. Contact Rick Petterson. Details to come.
August 31 - September 2 Labor Day Weekend: Boat-in / drive-in / ferry-in to the Bremerton marina to enjoy the annual Blackberry Festival, hosted at the Bremerton marina. Details to come.

Oct. 11-13 Land Cruise / Camping / RV at Grayland State Park. Fall and Halloween decorating, pumpkin carving, games.
